The anonymous woman said she'd found the creature next to her summer house after hearing a strange noise and had decided to freeze it. The odd 40-50cm long body looks distinctly plant-like with two eyes, a nose, a mouth and a one-piece item of clothing.
The story took an even stranger turn when two men allegedly turned up at her house a few days ago and confiscated the corpse for investigative purposes, claiming to be from the Karelian Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Employees for the research center however later maintained they had no knowledge of the incident.
